The American president Donald Trump He attacked Iran this Sunday through his personal Twitter account and warned his counterpart that they would face dire consequences if he dares to threaten the United States again.

"NEVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THAT VERY FEW HAVE SUFFERED THROUGHOUT HISTORY," Trump said in a message to Iranian President Hasan Rohani.

"WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR INSANE WORDS OF VIOLENCE AND DEATH. BE CAREFUL!" Trump concluded, in a furious message written in capital letters.

Trump's message was in response to previous comments by Iran's president, who warned the United States that war with Tehran would be the "mother of all wars." Rouhani directly warned Trump not to "play with the lion's tail, because he would regret it forever."

Rohani also warned that Iran controls and could close the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic point in the Persian Gulf through which 30% of the world's seaborne oil circulates.

Earlier on Monday, a senior official in Iran's Revolutionary Guard, Commander General Gholam Hossein Gheibparvar, described Trump's remarks as "psychological warfare," the news agency reported. ISNA.

The exchange of threats put the international community on alert, as it is reminiscent of what Trump already had with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, before making peace after the historic summit in Singapore, but for several Middle East analysts and observers , this tweet exceeds even Trump's standards.

"We've seen a lot of bellicose words from Trump in the past, but this tweet... I think takes it to a new level," said the US military analyst. CNN Rick Francona.
