The sports journalist Yasel Porto clarified in the specialized media Swing Completo his departure from Cuban National Television following some of his comments on a state program.

Porto points out that after his departure from Live Ball, which continues to be broadcast by the state channel Cubavision International, two of his projects were removed from the grid Tele Rebelde, the sports channel in Cuba, because they were his own. These are Always baseball and Sports Video Library.

The commentator points out that did not sign any sanction because the directors of the state television only decided not to renew his contract. Among the reasons for removing him from national TV are the disagreement of those responsible with the comment in Live Ball, as well as in other spaces and their opinions in other independent media and on social networks.

"It is very appropriate to clarify (that this work) has existed for years through projects such as home run and Swing Completo. There was never any objection or call for attention," he noted.

Porto thanked those who followed him during his 20 years as a sports journalist for their support and even those who did not and showed that they were only friends in good times.

"All these opportunisms only contribute to making us sicker as human beings, and this is not exclusive to my work and baseball environment, nor to the union, nor to Cuba, it also includes other places in the world that are invaded by envy or extremism, two of the most chronic evils of this humanity," said the journalist, who confessed that he focuses on the present and the future.

Yasel Porto assured that he will continue to criticize everything necessary in baseball, but he removes politics from his dictionary because "the only thing it does is divide and hurt", something that he does not share as a "true Christian."

The sports journalist clarified that it will be the last time he refers to this controversy and that it will continue on the newscast of the Havana Channel, where it started in 2008.
