Cuban prospect and potential professional baseball star Dyan Yamel Jorge already has a presentation date in the Dominican Republic.
The 16-year-old shortstop from Havana, one of the virtual sensations of the next international signing market July 2, will appear before the scouts on March 12 and 13 in Quisqueya.
The date of the much-cited "Showcase" was known just a few hours ago. Jorge, who went through an odyssey to leave Cuba and has now frozen the chronometers in the 60 yards with surreal times of 5.9 to 6.1 seconds, will be at Ray's field, kilometer 22 of the Duarte highway at an hour close to 10 the morning during the 12th and 13th of the coming month.
He has plenty of powers to look for a million-dollar firm. The boy, recognized as one of the best 16-year-old shortstops in the world, is already pursued by more than 15 organizations.
Major League scouts prioritize young ages these days. More time horizon to work with the player, the complicated transition of culture from one baseball to another is always a valuable advantage. Jorge has been identified with avowed interest from organizations such as the White Sox, who have expressed a keen desire to hire him.
In a few days the capital man represented by the singer Marc Anthony's agency (Magnus Sports) will steal the "show" again.
