Cuban reggaeton artists Jorge Hernandez Carvajal and Damian Aguirre They had a conversation after almost 10 years without having any contact.

The singers, who were once part of one of the most popular groups on the island Eddy K and Los 4, spoke for the first time 'face to face' and took a look at the past to remember the origins of both within the urban genre .

The moment took place in the live program of Cuban Adrián Fernández's YouTube channel, through two simultaneous video calls that the YouTuber made to the reggaeton artists in front of all his viewers.

During the interview, Damian and Jorge Junior They talked about various topics, including how they met and began their musical careers on the island.

"My grandmother lives in Boyeros, in the Panamérica district, we needed a melodic voice for the group and I went with Eduardo Mora to look for him (Damian)," said Jorge Junior.

Damian, for his part, said: "Jorgito and Eduardo contacted me and I had been with the group Tercera roca for some time, it was local, and imagine when I saw them that were already on television (in the program The Other Geography) I accepted immediately", "In Tercera roca I rapped, but I have always liked to sing and when Jorgito and Eduardo gave me the opportunity to sing for me that was the best," he added.

The urban singers also told many anecdotes about their beginnings, such as their first international tours, the rapid fame they experienced within Cuba, the experience of having been the opening act for reggaeton artist Don Omar or their fusions of styles in response to the new reggaeton rhythms that were emerging. at that time.

However, one of the moments of the talk that most caught the attention of the viewers and Adrián Fernández was when the two reggaeton artists talked about one of the professional changes that marked their career: the disintegration of Eddy K.

The group experienced an unexpected end that changed the course of both of them forever, since its leader (Eddy K) said at the time that he was going on vacation to the United States and, without notifying his companions, he decided to stay in that country to start a new life without them.

In a very subtle way, both Damian and Jorge Junior agreed in showing their discontent with the action that Eddy K took in his day and remembered the episode with great disappointment.

Jorge Junior, said about it: "The way the group broke up was not the most correct. He (Eddy K) told me and Damian that he was going to stay a few days there (United States) on vacation and we arrived at the airport and we were dizzy, after that we made the decision.

Damian, for his part, explained that when he realized that he would no longer be part of the group, he also decided to embark on a new path, however, destiny had a somewhat different plan prepared for him.

Firstly, he had the idea of going to Barcelona (Spain), but his intention was frustrated by Jorge Junior himself, who convinced him to stay in Cuba and work together on a new project that would also be joined by other well-known faces of the genre such as The Taiger (José Manuel Carvajal), once nicknamed The Prince.

"Everyone in their moment decided a destiny. Eduardo decided to remake his life, I also wanted to remake mine. Then Jorgito calls me and tells me 'don't leave' and I will always be grateful for that", "That link is what It made me continue to this day," said Damián.

Jorge Junior, with a great experience within the genre and without the presence of Eddy K, then decided to form the group Los 4 with the incorporation of Damián and his cousin El Príncipe and they quickly became one of the most popular bands in Cuba. . The rest is history.
