Artists of Cuban origin Yotuel Romero, Camila Cabello and the two voices of the most important urban group on the island, Local People, will be presented this Thursday at the Premios Juventud gala, in a special moment dedicated to the political situation that the island is going through.
The 18th edition of Premios Juventud will take place at the Watsco stadium in the city of Coral Gable, south of Florida. On this occasion he decided to invite a group of Cuban-American artists who have had an active presence in the democratic transition processes in Cuba.
“All united in one voice for the freedom of our people of Cuba. Endless thanks to Camila Cabello for the support,” indicated the Gente de Zona musicians on their social networks.
For her part, Camila Cabello published a strong message condemning the Cuban dictatorship on her official Instagram account where she gave a brief account of the acute crisis that the country is going through, both health and economic, and then gave way to a description of the panorama. most recent political, which has a precedent of censorship and repression of almost 63 years.
In the video, Cabello explains what the hashtag #SOSCuba is trying to convey, and how the disproportion of political power overflowed on July 11, when special anti-riot troops physically attacked unarmed civilians under orders of Miguel Díaz-Canel, the president.
Cabello urges everyone to disseminate and expose the situation that the island is going through through social networks. In addition, he spoke about the arrests and disappearances of the protesters, which this Thursday exceeded the number of 600 Cubans whose whereabouts are unknown, are behind bars or awaiting trial under precautionary measures in their homes.

Authors of the anthem Homeland and Life, which has become a slogan and symbol of resistance and dissent, musicians have used their public platforms to visualize the situation of the Cuban people since the civil movements began in Cuba last November.
As described by the portal Univision, “the Premios Juventud are a recognition of the new generations, of those who are pushing hard and setting trends in music.”
“In addition, young people who contribute to improving the society in which they live are honored, they are our agents of change,” the media indicates.
