After thanking those who have made the upcoming fight possible, in particular his opponent, the Cuban boxer defined himself as "a fighter for the civil rights of my country" who suffers from a dictatorship, something he did not want to overlook in his speech before the press.

Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás (26-4-0, 12 KO's) and Filipino Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KO's) They will face each other this Saturday, August 21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Everyone knows my story about how I came to the United States to follow my dreams of becoming a world champion, and now it's time to seal my legacy with a victory, as one of the best Cuban fighters to ever put on a pair of gloves. The 35-year-old Cuban fighter is an active defender of human rights on the island. On his social networks or in rallies in the streets he does not stop denouncing the lack of freedoms in his country, the repression or the precarious and lack suffered by their countrymen.
