This week the employees of a Florida restaurant, theWahoo Seafood Grill, received a generoustip of 10 thousand dollars, by a client who finished his dinner very satisfied.
The restaurant specializing in seafood is located at 3833 NW 97th Blvd, Gainesville, Florida, United States. On Tuesday one of his clients made a strange request,requested that the workers meet a moment in the living room.
The man thanked everyone for being present and forwork so hard to provide good service for dinner, so he decided to give each of them a thousand dollars. The employees couldn't believe it.
That Tuesday the specialty that the house sold was fried fish. They posted a curious post on Instagram that said: "Your head says gym but your heart says tacos. Follow your heart. #TacoTuesday" and apparently someone was gladly carried away by this delicious combination of flavors.
It is not known exactly what the mysterious customer consumed, whose identity the restaurant protected, butIt cost 144 dollars. In the note, in his own handwriting, the diner adjusted the data so that $10,144 was charged to his account.
Shawn Shepherd, is the owner ofWahoo Seafood Grill. He assured that he is not an emotional type, but that he could not help but feel moved by his client's gesture.
"I am impressed. We are all impressed by your generosity. Thelast year and a half has not been easy for this industry. "We are suffering and we are exhausted, but this incredible act of kindness has restored our faith in humanity," Shepherd said.
"We are just a local seafood restaurantveteran owned who is doing everything possible to weather this storm. "This is really the last thing we expected to happen on Tuesday nights," they commented fromWahoo Seafood Grill and they appreciated their client's contribution.
"All our staff wantthank this generous customer from the bottom of our hearts. We will all pay for it in our own way. Even the smallest acts of kindness can have a giant domino effect," they say in a text posted on the restaurant's Facebook profile.
This is not the first time that Florida has reportedtips so generous.
One client was especially happy in March, inCastaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar. This restaurant is located in the Florida Keys, in Marathon, Monroe County.
The waitress went to collect the payment and discovered a note on the bill: "Well deserved Khara and Castaway team," the customer wrote and left atip of 10 thousand dollars.
