Two oxygen concentrators were donated by Cuban emigrants to the Parish of San Atanasio, inPleasure, Villa Clara, for the use of patients at the municipal hospital, in an attempt to alleviate the lack of medical supplies in the face of the health crisis caused by thecoronavirus.
After 15 days of fundraising and shipping procedures, the teams arrived at their destination, from where they were sent to the intensive care room of the "Dr. Daniel Codorniú Pruna" General Teaching Hospital, this Monday, September 13.

The human rights defender also stated that the teams“They will be available to the intensive care room of our hospital, as well as all shipments of medicines to face the pandemic”.
The cost of purchasing each piece of equipment was $1,600 and its shipment to Cuba reached the sum of $3,998, Rubén Carrillo announced on Facebook. According to the most recentpart of the Ministry of Public Health, Placetas, with a population of around 70 thousand inhabitants, reported 19 positive cases of COVID-19, of the 493 diagnosed in the entire province of Villa Clara.
After 1,239 PCR tests carried out throughout the province, official statistics show an incidence of more than 2.5. That is, about 30% of the people tested were positive for the coronavirus. The figure indicates a decrease in the proportion in relation to the report on day 12, in which almost 50% of the people who underwent PCR tests were positive.
