Cuban government ordered to abort maritime departures and favor volcano routes

The Cuban government ordered the Counterintelligence (CI) to neutralize maritime exits to the United States and encourage emigration through Nicaragua, on the so-called route of the volcanoes, they informedCyberCubaseveral officers from that direction of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT).

The order has been transmitted to all provincial delegations of the MININT and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, with the instruction that they "increase control over citizens who are preparing illegal departures from the country."

The directive establishes as a "priority" reducing - to the minimum possible - maritime departures, collecting operational information on homes and other places where Cubans are building rafts or modifying any type of vehicles to attempt the risky crossing to Florida, they stated.
