Camila Cabello He is in an excellent professional moment, but although he has developed his career in the United States, he increasingly feels closer to his Latin ancestry.

In a recent interview for the magazine Vogue Mexico, the singer with Cuban and Mexican roots revealed how much of her origins is present today in her life and her songs.

"As I'm growing up I'm putting my life story into context. I lived in Cuba and Mexico until I was seven years old before moving to Miami, at 15 I moved to Los Angeles and that was the moment I made the full transition to the United States, without having that Latin American culture of my family," said the artist.

However, at times Camila has felt that she is from one place and another at the same time: "I have had times in my life where I miss the Latin culture a lot. But if I go to live in Mexico or Cuba I always think that for a long time time I am going to be the person who does not have the years of culture that the people there have lived, in those places I am going to be the gringa, even though in the United States I feel Latin.

"Being a Latina woman in the United States, music for me is an anchor of who I am," said the "Havana" singer, who has tried to express those feelings through her songs.

The singer confessed that in her first albums she was not as connected to her roots and even wrote her music in English, but there came a time when she realized that "it is important for me not only to bring songs from my childhood to the studio to producers and American collaborators, but to be able to share it with people who are also Latino.

Precisely, his third studio album as a solo artist, Family, released last April, is the realization of those desires to return to her roots, for her it is an album that has a lot of her culture sonically, but that also talks about concepts such as family, enjoying with your friends and authenticity, she assured Vogue Mexico, who four years ago also dedicated the cover story of the magazine.

Camila Cabello has a big dream and that is to have "a house full of noise and people", where she can enjoy the idea of family in the future with her children and be able to relive the times that her mother tells her about December 24 in Cuba. , where all the family and friends gathered at his house.

One of the songs included in this latest album, in which he also sings with Celia Cruz, was recorded with Yotuel Romero. The song whose title is "Lola" talks about the precarious situation in Cuba and it is a demand for all those young women who live on the island without opportunities.

just a few days ago the singer celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with images of his family and all those memories that he treasures with them, of his experiences in Cuba and Mexico.

Last July, Camila surprised her followers with a video having a great time with her grandmother while they sang the song of the late Cuban singer-songwriter Polo Montañez "A Lot of Stars".

Camila Cabello is currently on tour in South America with his disk Family, but on each stage there is no shortage of those other songs with which he has managed to conquer his audience.
