Cuban Erick Hernández sets another Guinness record for ball control

With the new time he surpassed his own mark of one hour, five minutes and six seconds by heading the ball.

The Cuban guy Erick Hernandez Sanchez This Sunday he set a new Guinness record in ball control by hitting the ball with his head for one hour, nine minutes and 59 seconds, with a weight of 1.5 kilograms on each ankle.

With that time surpassed his own personal record from July 2020 when he managed to deliver blows with his head for one hour, five minutes and six seconds.

The event took place at the Copacabana hotel in Havana and authorities from the Cuban Football Association (AFC) attended the demonstration, according to the sports weekly. JIT.

“I would like to dedicate this record to the people of Pinar del Río who suffered the attacks of Hurricane Ian,” said the athlete - according to the sports newspaper -, and also noted that the event was scheduled to be held in Varadero but was interrupted by the tragedy that occurred in Matanzas Supertanker Base.

The 56-year-old soccer player expressed that he was focused on this new brand, “perhaps that made me overexert myself and exhaust myself a little,” according to what was revealed in the note. JIT.

After a necessary rest and some personal inconveniences, according to what was published on social networks, Hernández once again registered in the book of record holders and announced that on November 19 he will try a new mark, but he did not specify the modality.

In April of this year, ssurpassed the world record established by the Chinese Gao Chong in the ball control, by hitting the ball with his head 351 times during one minute, thus surpassing the previous one achieved by the Asian by ten touches.

Hernández has broken the record in various forms of ball control over the years.

In 2021 he kept the ball bouncing with his thighs and reached 2,902 touches in 30 minutes.
