The Havana government continues its operations in stores, markets, bakeries and self-employed points of sale, resulting in a multitude of confiscations and fines.

On Tuesday, the Municipal Inspection Directorate (DIM) of Diez de Octubre carried out one at the Melones store, located on the street of the same name, where it was detected that workers were holding a group of merchandise.

The inspectors discovered 11 packages of chicken with payment receipts in a refrigerator, and although the clerks said they were from the people who control the lines, popularly called LCC (fight against queues), it was found that the chicken had been paid for by the cashiers. of that turn.

During the inspection, six packages of minced meat and 11 bottles of Sedal shampoo that were retained were also found.

Additionally, in the store manager's office, three bottles of shampoo and another three bottles of conditioner, valued at 160 pesos each, were detected in a drawer, as well as wheels of H.Upman cigarettes and 1,190 pesos in cash.

On the other hand, a cash count was carried out that showed a shortage of 6,129 pesos corresponding to the sales on October 31.

Hours before the search, an elderly man from the area died sitting in the doorway of a closed warehouse, on the same street as Melones, right in front of the store. According to his neighbors, he had been waiting in line for several days to buy.

For its part, in another inspection in Playa, a fine of 1,500 pesos was applied to the owner of a private cafeteria for not showing the invoices for soft drinks, rum, sweets and cookies.

Likewise, two forklift drivers were fined 8,000 pesos under the argument that they sold their products at "abusive prices": onions at 600 pesos per pound, tomatoes at 300 pesos, lemons at between 250 and 300 pesos, and peppers. between 350 and 400.

In the last month, the regime has intensified its confrontation with illegalities in the commercial sector, both state and private, for which the 15 municipal groups were activated to fight against the illicit sale of food, hoarding, the diversion of resources and the so-called predatory pricing.

Days ago, police operations against vendors were reported in the municipalities of Arroyo Naranjo and La Habana del Este, where hundreds of products were seized.

In Víbora Park, in Arroyo Naranjo, in a Warehouse House,They seized 116 files of eggs, 43 packets of detergent, 34 bath soaps, 29 packages of wet wipes and 23 packages of sanitary towels.

In the Curva de Párraga area, in the same municipality, the confrontation group occupied two tables with illegal sales and a cart selling bread. They seized two bottles of vegetable oil, five of spaghetti, four of Zuko soft drinks, another four of salt and 11 of wet wipes, in addition to 14 bags of bread.

Also in Marianao, on the night of October 25, the DIM carried out an inspection at the Cuba-Italia, Ciro Redondo and Gran Esfuerzo bakeries, where theNormed bread did not have the appropriate weight nor did it meet the quality parameters that set the technical standards. Furthermore, in one of them there was a shortage of a thousand loaves of bread, which was classified as an economic crime.

According to the weeklyTribune, Decree Law 30 was applied to master bakers and administrators, which sanctions violations of standards and prices with a fine of 8,000 pesos.

Two days later, in another inspection operation, several self-employed workers living in the El Lido area were fined 8,000 pesos for the price at which they sold their products, which were confiscated and delivered to social institutions.
