A new crime once again puts a Cuban family in mourning, in the midst of a wave of violence and criminals acting throughout the country.
On this occasion the victim was acustodian of a store in Falla, a town in the Avilanian municipality of Chambas. The man was allegedly murdered by one or more people who were trying to rob the premises.
"This is how things are going in Falla, they killed thesecurity guard at the Barrio Nuevo store (last name Toledo) all supposedly to steal food," he revealed in hisFacebook the user Enriquito Libre.
"Crimes like this proliferate throughout the country with very few results from the authorities, who are more interested in repressing, mistreating and imprisoning those who think differently," he denounced.
The information was confirmed by a reader ofCyberCuba, who stated that the crime occurred on Monday night in a Pueblo grocery store in the municipality of Chambas.
According to several sources, the objective was to rob the establishment and to do so the criminals did not hesitate to attack the custodian.
"Criminalistics has reached the scene of the incident, this grocery store has been robbed on several occasions, which forced them to place a custodian here for some time," he revealed.
"The people of this town of less than 5,000 inhabitants wonder: 'If this happens in this small town, what will it be like throughout Cuba in more conflictive places?'" he asked.
Amid the increase in crime in Cuba, violent crimes have been recorded against people whose job is to protect State premises and facilities.
Last October, two men, one of them very young,They robbed a warehouse in Havana after intimidating the custodian with a knife. The event occurred on a Sunday morning in the Lutgardita neighborhood of the Boyeros municipality.
The thieves took 15,000 pesos, but the police arrested them in their own homes.
In July, three young peopleThey brutally beat the custodian of the parking lot of a building in Havana and stole three motorcycles electrical.
The victim, named Gonzalo, takes care of motorcycles and cars in the 14-story building in the Plaza municipality. One day, at 4:00 am, "three criminals beat him, threatened him, did everything to him and took three electric motorcycles," according to Facebook user Michaela Días García.

The victim's name was Miguel Contino Moro, "a man, according to what they tell me, who lived alone and was a friend of everyone," reported political activist Jonatan López.
