Pleasant surprise for Camila Cabello! American television network Univision announced this Monday the nominees for the Lo Nuestro Awards 2023 and the artist appears in two of the 39 categories of this edition of the contest.
The Cuban singer obtained a nomination in the section Female Pop Artist Of The Year, in which he will be competing with Christina Aguilera, Ednita Nazario, Gloria Trevi, Kany García, Laura Pausini, Paulina Rubio, Shakira, Sofía Reyes and Yuri.
Camila is also nominated in the category The Perfect Blend of the Year.
In this case it is due to one of his most popular musical hits, “Oh Na Na”, his collaboration with Myke Towers & Tainy that premiered at the end of October 2021 along with a video clip.
In addition to Camila Cabello, the Cuban duo Gente de Zona is also among the nominees to this 35th edition of the Lo Nuestro Awards.
Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom won three mentions in the categories Artist Of The Year Tropical and Collaboration Of The Year Tropical - for their song “El Negrito” with Carlos Vives -, and Album Of The Year Tropical for their album From Lowest to Highest.
For the moment, we only have to wait until next February 23 to find out if Camila Cabello and Gente de Zona take home any of the awards.
The awards gala will take place at the Miami-Dade Arena in Florida under the direction of Alejandra Espinoza, Sebastián Yatra, Adrián Uribe and Paulina Rubio, and will be broadcast live through Univision.
