Mexican singer Maria Guadalupe Araujo Yong, known asAna Gabriel, raised his voice for freedom in Latin American countries and stated that his principles have prevented him from going to Cuba.

"I am talking about the defense of our nations, which need total freedom. That is why I have not returned to Mexico, that is why I have not been able to go to Cuba, Nicaragua or Venezuela," declared the Diva of America.

In concert held this Saturday at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, in Los Angeles, the singer received boos and criticism for her political comments at the beginning of her tour of the United States, under the title ofFor the love of you.

“I am a singer who understands the pain of each nation and I will always defend Latin America,” she expressed in a chaotic performance in which, according to20 minutes, considered it appropriate to announce his retirement from the stage after more than 48 years of musical career.

The reaction of the public was triggered by the opinion expressed by the artist about the citizen march that was held on Sunday in different cities of Mexico due to the electoral reform.

The audience interrupted his words and shouted and asked him to limit himself to singing. "Put Siri in your house and you won't hear me speak anymore," the popular singer replied, annoyed.

"I cannot accept disrespect when the only thing I bring with me is my voice, my singing, my friendship and my blessings," he wrote on Twitter after the concert.

As she explained on her social networks, "the problem did not come from my comment, but because several people started shouting for her to sing," to which the Mexican reacted in a way that she later wanted to temper.

“Tonight part of the audience put me in a difficult situation as a human being and as a singer. It unbalanced me as an Artist, in 48 years of my career this had never happened to me, and I assume my responsibility,” said the artist, asking “apologies to the public who went to have a good time.”

After a brief break, Ana Gabriel continued with the show and, between songs, revealed that she would be leaving the stage. “I have to tell you that I will soon leave the stage. I want to be far away because I'm tired. Because I have the right to live,” said the one from Sinaloa, according toThe viewer.

The incident left a bad taste in the singer's mouth at the first concert of her last tour, as she acknowledged on her networks.

“I want to tell you that right now I don't feel good as a human being, much less as an Artist, but I do promise that tomorrow's show will be completely full of love and music,” he warned.

"No, I don't regret it. Everything I said at that moment was because it came from my heart. Venezuela has been a country that opened its doors to me since the beginning of my career and seeing it as it is right now fills me with pain," the artist stated in 2014 after a massive demonstration against the Chavista government.

In interview withWhich one, the singer said she did not regret siding with the protesters. “There is nothing more beautiful than freedom of expression,” he stated.

Ana Gabriel will sing next March 25 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, at 8 p.m.
