Nicky Jam and Arcángel share a much stronger and more special bond beyond their passion for music: their son, Joe Martin. Although the American is the biological father of the teenager, it is actually the artist behind "La Jumpa" who has taken care of raising him since he was very small.

Joe Martin, born in 2005, is the result of the relationship between Nicky Rivera (the real name of Nicky Jam) and Janexsy Figueroa, making him the third child of the urban singer.

However, the love between them ended, and after their breakup, Figueroa began a romance with fellow Puerto Rican rapper Arcángel; a love story that they are still writing today, which resulted in the birth of their daughter, Lucerito. The singer embraced Joe Martin as if he were his own son, so much so that they consider each other father and son, and it is common to see them together enjoying family outings.

Although this is a lesser-known aspect of both artists, the truth is that neither has hidden it. In 2015, Austin Santos, better known by his stage name Arcángel, spoke about his relationship with the reggaeton artist and his son in an interview with Enrique Santos.

"He and I have a pretty nice relationship because, aside from being colleagues, we have something that binds us: a child together, since I raised his son from a very young age," revealed the performer of Satisfacción in the conversation. He also assured that they get along very well: "In fact, after years of not seeing each other, the first thing he said to me was, 'I appreciate everything you've done for my son.'"

"His son is like another son in my house, he's just the same," he said about Joe Martin, and regarding Nicky Jam, he expressed: "Besides being colleagues, we are like family."

Additionally, in one of the videos circulating on various platforms, the performer of "El Perdón" and "Travesuras" explains what happened with his former partner, who is the mother of his child: "She was my wife, then she was not my wife. Then she became his wife, because she can. She can do whatever she wants," Nicky Jam stated in an old video.

For his part, Arcángel has two biological children: Lucerito, with Janexsy Figueroa, and Austin. Along with Joe Martin, they are the three loves of the urban singer.

Nicky Jam, for his part, is the father of three other girls: Alyssa, Yarimar, and Luciana, completing the quartet with his only son, Joe Martin.
