The news of the death of José Manuel Carbajal, better known as El Taiger, has shocked the world of Cuban music. The singer passed away on October 10 at the age of 37, a week after being shot in the head.
Dozens of Cuban artists reacted with sadness and mourning to the sad news, which has also been reported in international media, provoking reactions from more figures in the music world, including J Balvin and Tekashi 6ix9ine.
J Balvin, who had sent his support to El Taiger in recent days, shared a snippet of the song "Coronamos," in which they share credits, and expressed: "Rest in peace, José. I love you, Taiger."
Nicky Jam shared an image of El Taiger and said: "Cuba, I'm with you, may he rest in peace."
Tekashi 6ix9ine said goodbye to El Taiger with his favorite song from the Cuban, "Zelle,"
"The Tranka of Cuba. José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar. My favorite song of yours. Rest in peace, your soul, Tanke," he wrote when posting part of the music video for the song.
"Rest in peace, musician of musicians," expressed Farruko alongside a photo of El Taiger.
The Puerto Rican singer Zion shared an illustration of El Taiger in his stories to say goodbye to him.
