The new beer, named Parranda, will be packaged in 0.5 liter and one and a half liter plastic bottles. It has 4.8 alcohol and is very similar to Cristal.

The former Cuban volleyball playerAlain Roca showed on its social networks a new Cuban beer factory that is located in theMariel Port Development Zone, in the province of Artemisa.

Roca shared photos and videos of the installation on its social networks, as well as thenew drink, called Parranda, which will be packaged in plastic bottles.

"New Cuban brewery sponsored, built and developed by the Swinkels Brewers Spain Bavaria family. Advanced facilities and technologies. Unique experience!" he announced on his Instagram account.

As he said in the comments section, the beer has 4.8 alcohol and is very similar to Cristal, so - in his opinion - it will surely have guaranteed success.

The former athlete specified that the factory is first class, and has highly qualified personnel and "providential" advice, all to obtain a better quality Cuban beer.

"TheFirst production will be ready in 15 days. Without a doubt 'Parranda', Cuba's new beer, is here to stay," he said.

Roca has long been dedicated to promoting Cuban brand products, mainly Havana Club and Habanos SA. Apparently it now adds the image of new beers to its catalogue.

In the midst of a prolonged shortage of domestically produced beers, the government announced six months ago that in thesecond quarter of 2023 the new brewery would start up, with an initial production capacity of one million hectoliters per year.

The Fábrica Cervecería Cubana S.A is the result of thealliance between Cuba Ron and the Swinkels family, known on the Island for the Bavaria and Hollandia line, whose investment exceeded 100 million dollars.

In addition to Parranda beer, the facility will also produce and market beverages with alcoholic and non-alcoholic malt bases, as well as other energizing drinks.

"Parranda is destined to fulfill the national demand for beer, currently unsatisfied, but starting from a Cuban product, a culturally and genuinely Cuban product," said Andro Avón Maza, interim president of Cuba Ron.

Parranda will be packaged in PET (polyethylene terephthalate) technology,in 0.5 liter and one and a half liter format bottles.
