The artist had said that "the band is in mourning but we are professionals," during a concert on Wednesday in Cascajal, Santo Domingo, Villa Clara.

No details of the death of the brother of the popular pro-government singer have been revealed.

Fabré, defender of the Cuban regime, recently denounced that theMinistry of Agriculture of San Luis "evicted" him from the land he legitimately inherited from his parents in Santiago de Cuba, affecting several family members.

Fabré considered that there are many unjust laws that allow the eviction of land historically belonging to his family, although as usual he was careful not to make the regime uncomfortable with his reproaches: "I am not saying anything that goes against anything or anyone, but I am speaking for truth and justice."

The measure also affected his brother.
