Cándido Fabré protests the severe blackouts: "Let's go Cuban, let's go"

"With caution and without violence. Let's go Cuban, let's go," said the singer. His message was interpreted by some people as an invitation to denounce the blackouts in Cuba.

The Cuban popular musicianCandide Fabré, son of Sixta and Papa Neto, complained about the blackouts in eastern Cuba and reminded the government that "it charges quite dearly" for the service it takes away from the people.

"I would like some national leader to live with us so that he feels what we feel where, without turning on the power, they turn it off at any time for excessively long periods of time. There may be energy problems but we are paying a very high price," Fabré said on Facebook .

The artist continually defines himself as a Fidelist and reiterates his support for the regime, but frequently complains on his social networks about "things" that he does not see as correct or that directly affect him.

"To die for the country is to live, but do not kill me before dying for it. I am from this people. Love, strength and faith characterize me. God be with us. With prudence and without violence. Let's go Cuban, let's go," said the singer. Its publication was interpreted by some people as an invitation to denounce what is happening in Cuba.

Fabré lives in the east of the country, where blackouts last up to 18 hours each day. In Havana, the population has blackouts of about four hours and in the areas where high officials reside, many people assure that there are no electricity outages.

The fuel crisis in Cuba has been in an extreme situation for more than three years, leaving blackouts that make the daily life of Cubans even more difficult, marked by the scarcity of all types of resources and the lack of food.

The population begins to exhaust itself because the government's solutions do not arrive after more than 60 years of requests for "resistance."

At the end of 2023, the popular sonero said he had rejected an offer from Dominican singer José Alberto “El Canario” to give him theparole for the United States. During a concert for the 504th anniversary of Havana, Fabré assured that he would not leave Cuba because the country was going to get better.
