The Republican, who despite all his legal entanglements continues to lead his party's candidate polls, appeared at a Dairy Queen establishment in Council Bluffs (Iowa) to cheers from his followers.

The former American president Donald Trump gave away ice cream to his Iowa fans as part of the campaign for his candidacy in the next US electionss.

The Republican, who despite all his legal entanglements continues to lead his party's candidate polls, appeared at a Dairy Queen establishment in Council Bluffs, a city in the state of Iowa with more than 60,000 inhabitants.

After a campaign rally in that city, Trump and his Secret Service team greeted supporters and appeared surprised by the fast-food restaurant's menu as he ordered a round of ice cream for his supporters.

“Everyone wants a Blizzard. “What the hell is a Blizzard?” asked Trump, apparently clueless about the existence of the well-known Dairy Queen soft candy that was originally introduced in 1985. “Yes, we'll take the Blizzard thing,” he added resolutely.

According to the survey site RealClearPolitics, the former president currently leads the Republican field in Iowa by 24 points. At the Dairy Queen, he was greeted by his fans with chants of “USA.” Then, according to the portal mediaite.com, shouts of "Let's go, Brandon!" were heard. and “We love you!”, as he left the premises.

In mid-June, Trump visited the iconic Versailles restaurant in Miami, after appearing in federal court where he pleaded not guilty to 37 charges of mishandling classified documents.

At the emblematic venue in Little Havana he met with his followers and the legislator Ileana Garcia, who supposedly organized the event. He was seen smiling, shaking hands and talking to the supporters who surrounded him and posed for photos with him.

The former president exclaimed: "Food for everyone!". He then walked up to a reporter who asked him about his court appearance, to which he responded that he thinks it's "going very well."

"I think this is rigged. We have a rigged country. We have a corrupt country. We have a country that has no borders. We have a country that has nothing but problems. We are a nation in decline, and then they do these things, and you see where the people are," he said.

Trump ate croquettes and drank Cuban coffee, according to a local employee. The local media Miami New Times He cited a "well-informed source" and said that the former president promised 'food for everyone'; but he left the premises before anyone could ask for anything.

Donald Trump, the first president in the history of the United States to be criminally charged by federal justice, will sit on the bench in a jury trial that will be held starting August 14 in Fort Pierce, 208 kilometers from Miami.

In an order signed by the judge Aileen Cannon, it is noted that the period for holding the trial for the classified documents found in his Florida home is two weeks from August 14.

Furthermore, it is established that if for any reason the trial is delayed, it will be resumed “as soon” as possible. The deadline for the defense and the Prosecutor's Office to present requests in relation to the trial is next July 24. Two weeks later, on August 8, a hearing will be held to address all scheduling issues.
