They locate relatives of a missing Cuban in El Vedado

The young man lives in terrible conditions with an elderly woman, apparently his grandmother, in Central Havana.

Residents in El Vedado located the family of a young man with memory problems who has been wandering around his neighborhood for days, and to whom they have provided help.

A woman discovered that the man lives in Central Havana in a house in terrible conditions with an elderly woman, apparently his grandmother.

Pedro Luis García, administrator of the Facebook group "El Vedado de Hoy", shared a video showing the place where the young man comes from, and asked the municipality's social workers for help.

"Authorities of the Centro Habana municipality, this is the situation of the boy who is living on the street in El Vedado. The neighbors on 15th Street between F and G have already given him food but he needs treatment," he said.

The recording shows the deplorable state of the house, with cracked walls, broken floors and no electricity.

"This is tremendous. And here there is no possibility that they can change them? It is a super deplorable condition," said the woman from El Vedado, one of those who is helping the young man, who went to the place to gather information.

"Look how that thing is falling down there," said the boy's relative, before adding that he has no power and that a neighbor cooks for him.

"We both sleep here," said the old woman, pointing to a personal bed.

A neighbor of the building said that both the old woman and the man have nerve problems, but that they both receive a pension.

"They both have it. She has a checkbook and he has another checkbook," he said.

An Internet user stated that the young man has lived in a dysfunctional home, and that his grandmother is the one who has been taking care of him, but perhaps she can no longer. "A woman took care of him, who took care of him but not in the best way, and he left the house."

The man was found at the beginning of the month by residents of El Vedado, who asked for help for him on the Internet, after seeing him fortwo days disoriented and lost on 15th Street between F and G from that neighborhood.

"At the beginning it was very clean, it has already deteriorated," reported pro-government journalist Nelson Ricardo Sierra on his Facebook profile.

Sierra said that the subject did not know where he lived, and the neighbors gave him water and some food.

Days later, a woman reported that her nephew took him to her house to peel him and thechange was radical after the haircut and being shaved.

The woman asked other people for some clothes and shoes to help him: "Not just giving him a plate of food, it's trying to do the best for him."
