A harrow and a railway bus collide in Santiago de Cuba

Andrailway crashed into arastra inSantiago de Cuba, this Wednesday, in the municipalityPalma Soriano.

In the Facebook groupBus and Truck Accidents, a witness to the incident shared the image where you can see how therailway bus hit the tractor on one side.

At first glance it can be seen that the cargo vehicle, which was carrying a container, was stopped in the middle of the train line. At that point was the railbus attack. No loss of life has been reported at the time of writing this note.

The witness to the accident explained that theharrow driver did not respect the stop sign and violated the railroad crossing caution sign.

InCuba the railways, which are bus bodies adapted to function as train cars, are used mainly in rural areas. Starting in 2022, the government said that it is promoting its creation as the only way to reach certain territories.

On Tuesday night there was anothertraffic accident in Cuba. It happened in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque province and ended with a horse dying on the road. The animal was carrying a cart that was driving without lights and a car hit it.

That same day two more were reportedaccidents, one of them in Havana. Heaccident in the capital involved at least three vehicles, leaving several people injured. It happened around 04:00 pm near the Martí neighborhood, on Boyeros Avenue.
