A Cuban citizen denounced the critical state in which two buildings are about to collapse in the municipalityHavana Center of the capital, one of which is where the complainant resides.
“A user residing in Havana sends us this video in which he denounces the terrible state of two buildings in danger of collapse, one of which is his home. 'The building is collapsing, in the expectation that it will collapse,' he says," the independent media reported via X.The touch.
Although the information does not specify the exact location of both buildings, it was possible to verify that the properties are located on adjacent corners of the intersection of San Lázaro and Perseverancia streets, in the San Leopoldo neighborhood.
While one of them is evicted and propped up, neighbors still reside in the complainant's building, although some of them have already been moved to temporary shelters.
“As you see, both buildings are deteriorated. One of them had its walls removed twenty-odd years ago and it's still there, propped up. The other one, where I live, is the same, destroyed. It is collapsing and we are waiting for it to collapseas happened with the building in Old Havana [on Lamparilla Street],” indicated the affected person.
From the roof of his property, the complainant showed images of cracks in walls and ceilings, as well as piles of debris caused by small collapses and collapsed ceilings.
