The US authorities released a young Cuban woman who wasimprisoned for two months for entering the country with a false humanitarian parole.

This 20-year-old woman's nightmare began in August, when she was detained at the Tampa airport after being accused of committing fraud.

As told toAmerica TeVe, her boyfriend, who resides in the United States, hired the services of a supposed lawyer he saw on the Internet and who promised him that she would speed up the immigration process, but in the end it was all a scam.

"This lawyer said that she was in charge of everything, she asked for my information... She did everything. Two emails arrived in my account, the first said that the sponsor had been approved and the second had the supposed travel authorization," he detailed.

Naya, a medical student from Las Tunas, said that upon arriving at the airport, the Immigration officer entered her Alien number, but it did not pass. At the time of arrest she was handcuffed and shackled.

"I spent two and a half months in that immigration detention center. It was a hard process, but as bad as it could be, it was good, because many were sent to Cuba. How worse could it be than that, for me at least They gave me the opportunity, because at the airport they asked me if I was afraid to return to my country. Of course, I said yes and here I am," he said.

The young woman was spared deportation because when she was detained at the airport she claimed that she was afraid of returning and requested political asylum. During this time he had to face an interview to prove that "credible fear" existed.

His lawyer, Ismael Labrador, always trusted that there was a chance of winning the case, which is what happened.
