One injured in fire in Santa Clara home

One person was injured in afire that broke out on Wednesday night in a home in the city of Santa Clara.

The incident occurred in a house located on Ciclón Street between Barcelona and Alejandro Oms, in the capital of the province of Villa Clara, and its origin was possibly “a liquefied gas leak of the cylinder” of domestic fuel, as explained by the communicatorHenry Omar Pérez in aFacebook post.

Pérez reported the existence of an injured person, who was transferred to the Arnaldo Milián Castro Provincial Hospital, but so far neither he nor the local authorities have offered updated information about the health status of that person.

According to the communicator's report, forces from Fire Command 3 immediately went to the scene and extinguished the fire. City authorities arrived at the site to assess the material damage.

This month, in the same province, afire in a tobacco leaf warehouse belonging to the Despalillo Base Business Unit (UEB), in the municipality of Manicaragua. No injuries were reported.
