Kun Agüero denies having suffered an accident in Cuba: "My old woman crying"

The former soccer player published a video on his social networks to deny the “news” of an alleged jet ski accident in Cuba and calm his family and followers.

Football player Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo, known as Only Aguero, denied that he had suffered an accident in Cuba, false news that some media outlets spread.

The former footballer published a video on his social networks to deny the “news” of an alleged jet ski accident in Cuba and calm his family and followers. According to the Argentine portal Infobae, rumors placed him admitted to a Miami hospital.

“Hello people, I hope you are all well, you already know why I make this video, I don't know who invented that I had an accident on the jet ski... There are friends, family, my son, everyone asking if I was okay. My old lady crying… So the truth is that I don't know what to say, or who invented this,” Kun said with concern drawn on his face.

The newspaper Financial sphere, was one of those who published the rumor, indicating that "Kun Agüero suffered an accident with his jet ski in a coastal area of Cuba and had to be transferred to a hospital in Miami, in the United States."

The former Manchester City and Barcelona scorer is training for the Conmebol Legends match that will be held on Tuesday December 5 at the DRV PNK Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale.

Kun, who will be one of the captains in the match, will share the grass with other legends such as Ronaldinho, Gonzalo Higuain, Javier Zanetti and Carlos Valderrama, among others. Tickets for this sporting event start at $45 and are available for purchase online.

In mid-December 2021, Kun Agüero announced that he left football permanently due to health problems. After signing a contract with FC Barcelona, the forward was forced to leave active sport forever due to a heart condition.

"This conference is to inform you that I have decided to stop playing professional football. It is a very hard moment, but I am equally happy for the decision I made because the first thing is my health," said the player through tears at a press conference held at the Camp Nou.

Agüero was previously at Atlético de Madrid, with whom he won the Europa League and the European Super Cup, both in 2010.

A year later he joined Manchester City, with which he lifted, among others, the Premier League trophy. Since 2006 he was frequently called up to his country's national team, with which he won a Copa América and two World Cups (under-20).
