Rice pudding has become popular on Cuban recipe pages, as an alternative to the lack of bread that affects families on the island.

"Wow, so as not to be left out of the new fashion... Here's mine... Can't you guess what it is????", posted an Internet user identified as Michel Bauta Siret in the Facebook group "Recipes of the Cuban and World Food...Cubania".

Likewise, in the group "Recipes from the Heart", which is made from Havana, several women have published their variants, to replace the bread in their children's snacks.

The very shortage of bread makes it impossible to respect the original recipe, based on bread, milk and eggs.

Likewise, a new version has emerged for when the family no longer has rice, the "donkey or fongos banana pudding."

For some Internet users, these are "killer" recipes, which are basically rice in syrup. However, others praised the presentation of the pudding, with many saying it tastes good.

The generalized crisis in Cuba has brought back unusual and questionable recipes that in recent weeks have generated controversy on social networks.

A Cuban woman published her variant ofconger without beans, which was added to other initiatives such as cassava peel chicharrones, mamoncillo shell stew, ropa Vieja with banana peel and platanillo coffee.

The option that the woman proposed in the Facebook group "Recipes from the Heart" is to cook the rice in guava leaf water.

Recently the inhabitants of the island reacted indignantly to recipes such asold clothes with banana peel or fried cassava peel: "It's humiliating," they considered.
