Heavy rains and electric shocks hit Havana

In recent hours, Havana has been under acomplex weather situation marked by numerous electric shocks and heavy rains, which have even left partial flooding in some municipalities, including Diez de Octubre.

The phenomenon has followed a movement from east to west-northwest slowly, according to journalist Radamés Pérez Guerrero on Facebook.

"The rain has been persistent at night and early in the morning in Havana. It also dawns with rain. There are reports of damage to the electrical service in several municipalities", journalist Lázaro Manuel Alonso revealed on social networks.

The phenomenon has already left the first floods in low areas of the capital.

One of the places that report light flooding is Micro 10, in the Alamar neighborhood, in the Habana del Este municipality.

In Eastern Havana, traffic has been complex this Wednesday.

It has also been reported at leastpartial collapse of a building located on the corner of San Lázaro and Perseverancia streets, in Centro Habana.
