This Wednesday a fire broke out in a home inSaint Michael no. 106 between Industry and Friendship, in the townHavana Center, as reported on social networks by the Municipal Assembly of People's Power.
The aforementioned source indicated that There were no deaths as a result of the incident and the causes of the fire, which was put out by firefighters, are being investigated.
The Cuban Firefighters Facebook profile indicated that it was a "structural fire" that was extinguished by Firefighters from Command 1 of Havana with support from other commands in the capital.
Adonys Millet, a resident of the area, shared videos and photos on Facebookin which several fire trucks and dozens of people were seen gathered around the scene of the incident.
"Everything must be charred there by now if what is coming out is black smoke and it has been burning for a while", a witness is heard saying in the images.
Another video filmed from a balcony next to the scene of the fire allowed the deployment of firefighters to be seen from above. However, the witness believed thatThey were taking a long time to intervene even though they were already there.
A structural fire - better known as an urban fire - is an out-of-control fire that develops within a structure that may be of qualified or precarious construction and can occur in both urban and suburban areas.
