One injured after car fire on Havana street

The victim was taken to a hospital.


One person was reportedly injured after a car caught fire this Thursday in the middle of the street in the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado.

In statements toCyberCuba A witness who witnessed the incident said that the car caught fire when a mechanic was trying to fix a defect.

The victim suffered some burns.

"The mechanic who at that time was making repairs to the car suffered some burns to his face, hair and one hand and was taken to the hospital," the source explained.

For his part, photographer Pedro Luis García published on his profile a video of the incident and stated that the incident occurred on F Street, between Calzada and Quinta. The images showed firefighters at the scene, who managed to control the situation quickly.

Last October, a tourist rental car also caught fire on the Central Highway, but there were no injuries in the accident.
