Intelligence agents and the Special Group Against Organized Crime (Grecco) of Peru have tightened the siege onVladimir Cerron, leader of Peru Libre, who evades justice.

Operations have intensified in condominiums in Lima after weeks of meticulous selection of incorruptible personnel.

In a recent operation, authorities entered the Mikonos condominium under the suspicion that Cerrón was staying there, who would have later been transferred to a neighboring home in the Mallorca condominium.

The luxurious residences are subject to inspection with the permission of the owners, revealing clandestine entry through secondary doors and lack of guest registration, contravening the regulations of the residential complex.

The trail to Mykonos emerged after verifying suspicious relations between Peruvian congressmen and Cuban citizens, with actions linked to the Cuban embassy in Lima, according to what was indicatedPeru 21.

Digital errors provided essential information for this case. Cerrón was using his cell phone in untraceable mode but recently had a VPN connection fail. This allowed the geolocation of his phone, coinciding with the location deduced from the tracking of Cuban individuals.

Peruvian security forces deployed quickly. According to internal information and statements from condominium workers, Cerrón would have avoided the main entrances, confirming alleged concealment tactics.

This intricate protection network raises questions about Cuban diplomatic involvement through Ambassador Carlos 'Gallo' Zamora, and what weight relations between Cuba and Peru have in this cover-up.

The alleged Cuban collaborators could withdraw their support if the situation worsens, a fact that would even lead Cerrón to propose a surrender under negotiations, an offer that has not been well received by the Peruvian authorities.

Meanwhile, the identity of a prominent economic figure supporting Cerrón in his escape remains unknown.

The politician is cornered and looking for alternatives. He is striving to annul his 3-year prison sentence related to irregularities in the contracting of the Wanka Aerodrome project, filing habeas corpus before the Constitutional Court through his lawyer José Llumpo.

With the government of Peru under the leadership of Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra since December 2022, the political situation in the country remains tense.

HeCuban regime has historical ties with Cerrón, a declared 'radical Marxist' trained at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).

The island's authorities are closely watching the developments of a matchFree Peru who withdrew his support for former President Castillo, accusing him of veering towards 'center-rightism' in 2021.
