Two critically injured after spectacular fire due to traffic accident in Hialeah

At least seven vehicles in front of a warehouse were engulfed in flames.

A total of seven parked vehicles were burned inHialeah after a spectacular traffic accident that unleashed a strong fire in the early hours of Monday.

Two men, whose identities have not been revealed, are hospitalized in critical condition as a result of the accident.

It all started whenA car lost control, collided with another and both ended up being projected into vehicles parked in front of a warehouse, which unleashed a fire of enormous proportions.

The incident took place at around 12:44 a.m. in the vicinity of 9th Street and Palm Avenue, according to reportsTelemundo 51.

Firefighters battled for hours to put out the fire, which also caused damage to the building's exterior.

The flames were about to spread to the homes near the scene of the fire.

In addition to the burned vehicles, some surrounding properties were damaged: smashed windows, broken glass and burnt curtains.

Among those affected are numerous neighbors - most of them Cuban - who, in addition to losing their vehicles, in some cases were also left without essential tools for work.

They fear that the insurance will not give them enough coverage to buy a new car.

The situation has worsened for themthe cost required for towing services to transport damaged vehicles.

“One of the truck drivers told us that the cost of the service was 200 dollars, but today we found that the first person who went to pay for the service was charged 325 dollars,” said Geovanys Oliva, one of the victims.

“We requested the city's claim because the cause of the incident was not a resident here. It was something unexpected and they didn't count on us when the tow truck came to provide the service, they didn't count on the residents," said another of those affected.

So far there is no more information about the people who were in the car that crashed and caused the fire.It is only known that they were two men in their 30s.

According to neighbors, the driver said he did not have a license and the person accompanying him was apparently in critical condition.

It is expected that in the next few hours the authorities will provide some update on the alleged causes that caused the accident.
