The “cadre movement” of the Cuban regime landed in the oratory of the president of theNational Assembly of People's Power (ANPP),Esteban Lazo Hernandez, who used the dictator's last speechRaul Castro to justify the recent dismissals of leaders in the government of his designated successor.
Meeting by videoconference with members of the municipal assemblies, the veteran “cadre” of the regime criticized the absence of “top-order issues in the country that are not being discussed in the Assemblies,” according to theNational News of Cuban Television.
Lazo did not remember that the institution he directs made the decision last October tosuspend accountability assemblies “due to lack of fuel”, but he did retain in his memory Castro's words in the speech for the 65th anniversary of the so-called “revolution,” asking the tired leaders to resign from their positions.
“Raúl emphasized a group of things that are key: the role of the 'cadres', the responsibility of the 'cadres', he placed a lot of emphasis on self-preparation, he said in two words: 'the cadre that does not prepare and he does not have the knowledge to do the tasks, it is better for him to leave office.' He said it very clearly on the first day,” he said.
On January 1, in a notice to sailors, the general who enjoys his peaceful retirement inCayo Saetia warned: "Those, due to insufficient capacity, lack of preparationor simply because you are tired, are not up to the task demanded by the moment, they must give their place to another colleague willing to take on the task.
“Raúl spoke of self-preparation, of the need for constant improvement, of the training of 'cadres'. He spent a lot of time talking about unity. “Unity is key for these times!” added Lazo, who rambled at length about “the art of uniting that characterized our commander in chief,” revealing the strategy of persecution and elimination of the plurality ofFidel Castro, which led him to implement communist totalitarianism in Cuba.
The meeting, which, according to the official press, serves to "transfer to the grassroots the main issues that concern and occupy the nation," confirmed that - despite the regime's impotence to solve the systemic crisis it is going through - its ability to heads rollbut perched) remains intact. And with it, diverting the focus of attention on their incompetence to change the current order of things on the Island.
However, the recent defenestration of Alejandro Gil Fernández, o la deManuel Sobrino Martínez, and its replacement by other "cadres" of "continuity" does not convince the Cuban population about an improvement in its situation, nor is it credible as an indicator of a change of course in its policies.
Ineptitude has already metastasized in the Cuban regime, from the rulerMiguel Diaz-Canel to the most picturesque "picture" of continuity, the national coordinator of the CDR,Gerard Hernandez Nordelo. The decorative figures, and the invisible ones who hold the real power of the dictatorship, "advance" adrift.
