Effusive hug between Donald Trump and Javier Milei in the United States

"Make Argentina Great Again," Trump said, to which the Argentine responded with the phrase that identifies him: "Long live freedom, damn it!"

The former American president Donald Trump and the Argentine president Javier Miley They hugged each other effusively when they met on Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a major annual event of the United States right held in Maryland.

In the video of the meeting, Milei can be heard shouting "President!", before pulling Trump towards him for an affectionate hug.

"Make Argentina Great Again (Make Argentina great again)", said Trump, to which the Argentine responded with the phrase that identifies him: "Long live freedom, damn it!"

Both posed for the cameras, smiling amid strong handshakes.

Minutes before the meeting, during his speech at the Summit, Milei referred to the fight against corruption and expressed that "we are not going to give up on making Argentina great again."

Milei, who took office last December, carried out an electoral campaign inspired by the Republican leader, with caps with the legend "Make Argentina Great Again"in frank imitation of the movement"Make America Great Again"(Let's make America great again) with which Trump triumphed.

In November, after Milei's electoral victory was confirmed, Trump publicly congratulated him. "The whole world was watching! I am very proud of you. You will turn your country around and truly make Argentina great again!" he said.

In January, he said that Milei is a president who "really loves his country," who is working hard and making great progress.

"He inherited a 'total disaster', but he is MAGA (MAKING ARGENTINA GREAT AGAIN!), he works very hard and, against all odds, he will achieve it. I hope to be able to help him in the future!" he said.

On Friday, Javier Milei received the Secretary of State of the United States at the Casa Rosada, Antony Blinken, who was on a tour of South America.
