Youtuber Anita Mateu travels to Cuba after living a year in Spain: "This is bittersweet"

The youtuber Anita Matthew, known for documenting her life as Cuban in Galicia, experienced a shock of reality upon returning to his homeland after a year living in Spain.

He traveled to the province where his mother lives, Holy Spirit. Upon returning home, he confessed that he has found a devastated nation, with destroyed houses, a shortage of transportation and an excessive increase in the cost of basic products that is suffocating the population.

The 27-year-old chose to bring gifts for her family and friends. "I don't want to leave anyone with nothing," he said, but then he realized that the suitcases are not enough to give Cubans everything they need to survive.

"It shocks me how dirty the streets are, how little maintenance they have. In Europe everything is organized," she commented and emphasized that she did not want to "act foreign," but contrasting her experience in Spain with the reality of Cuba, it was impossible not to be discouraged. .
