Accident in Havana leaves a motorcyclist injured

The collision occurred between an electric scooter and a jeep at a very dangerous intersection in Havana, where the traffic light has not been functioning for some time.

A young man was injured in a traffic accident that occurred this Monday at the intersection of San Lázaro and Belascoaín streets in Havana, when a jeep collided with an electric motorcycle.

According to Facebook user Roly, in the group "ACCIDENTS BUSES & TRUCKS for more experience and fewer victims!", the traffic light was off, the car was driving down Belascoaín Street and did not yield to the priority of San Lázaro Street.

"They took the boy away with a badly injured leg, but he was conscious," it was reported.

He also stated that the jeep disconnected the battery from the electric motor, and that the young man, who had a leg injury, was taken to Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital.

Different individuals voiced their opinions that this is a dangerous corner of Havana and that, nevertheless, that traffic light has been "broken for a while," commented one user.

On Tuesday, a traffic incident occurred at Santa María beach in Havana, with no reports of any injuries.

The bus company reported that the damaged roadways in the area caused the accident involving the vehicle that was operating on route A-7.

One person was injured in a collision between an electric motorcycle and a car in Havana this Sunday.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Calzada de 10 de octubre and Avenida Santa Catalina.

Another collision, with no injuries reported, occurred this Monday in Santa Clara between a bus from Transtur and a jeep belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

The driver of the military vehicle was at fault for not obeying the stop sign on Máximo Gómez Street.
