They break windows of a state store in Sagua de Tánamo

Protests have been reported in several areas of the island.

Cubans outraged by the constant and prolonged blackouts broke the windows of a state store in Sagua de Tánamo, Holguín, adding to a series of protest events that have been reported in various areas of the country in recent hours.

HeCuban Newspaper posted images of the affected facility and confirmed that a group of people smashed the store's windows.

Likewise, that "currently (the authorities) are installing wooden panels in the other stores as a precaution" and "security has been intensified on the streets, which are saturated with police."

The affected location was the “La Montañesa” Pan-American Store in the Sagua de Tánamo municipality.

Reports on networks indicate that in other locations in the country, Cubans have also protested against the generalized crisis and blackouts of up to 17 hours a day.

Over the weekend, the people of Holguín protested in the streets and in Camagüey several Cubans broke shop windows and a polyclinic.

In Cienfuegos, a young man went out into the street witha machete and destroyed a car belonging to the government from the province.

This Thursday they appearedposters against the Cuban regime in Havana, and on Wednesday posters appeared in several areas of Artemisa, especially in San Antonio de los Baños and Alquízar.

Blackouts in Cuba affect more than half of the island daily for long periods of time up to5 and 8 p.m..
