A Cuban woman tearfully thanked God that the roof of her home did not collapse in the middle of a tornado this Friday.

The video - broadcast by journalist Mario J. Pentón on his social networks - showed how a woman who was walking through her home with other family members after the tornado, felt grateful that despite some obvious damage, the roof had not collapsed.

"Look, God is great, this roof did not fall. Look at this, look at the tornado what it did to the house... We were in bed and I was just asking that the roof not fall. Because God is great, no Nothing happened to us. Oh Lord, thank you God!", the woman is heard saying in a moving testimony of faith in the midst of misfortune.

The Cuban woman showed the surroundings of the house, located in a rural area, and stated that the natural phenomenon knocked down trees and cables and said that the river was swollen.

"The Lord saved that roof, because even the glass window was broken," the woman concluded at the end of the moving images, which accumulated more than 12,000 reactions and 1,200 comments in a few hours.

Although the images do not specify where it occurred, it could be in the Los Palacios municipality, where a tornado surprised the residents of the Paso Real community in San Diego in the early morning hours.

This Saturday the Cuban government has begun to count the material damage caused by the strong storms recorded in recent hours in the provinces of Havana, Pinar del Río, Mayabeque, Artemisa and Matanzas.
