These statements are met with skepticism from Cubans. One of them, resigned to the recurrence of energy failures, described the gas-oil drilling projects announced by the regime as"another candy to entertain fools".
This sentiment echoes general frustration on the island, where government solutions are often seen as temporary palliatives that do not address the depth of the crisis.
