The Cuban is very self-confident and they defend tooth and nail what they claim as their own anywhere in the world, and that is what the American comedianAndrew Schulz has made it evident.
In a show in Miami, the comedian alluded to how Cubans have convinced everyone, including him, thatthey invented the ham sandwich.
In the middle of his monologue the comedian assured: “Cubans are the most confident people on the fucking planet. Cubans are so confident that you start to believe what they say.”
“Cubans believe they invented the ham sandwich”, he added, triggering laughter from the audience.
The funniest thing in Andrew Schulz's opinion is when those born on the island, very convinced, say that the Cuban sandwich is different and very native because it has Swiss cheese, Jewish pickles and French mustard.“Totally Cuban, all Cuban”, the comedian said between laughs.
Beyond the humor, the truth is that the Cuban sandwich originated among the Cuban-American communities of Florida.
Traditionally they have ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard as ingredients.
