A foreigner was stabbed on Monday night in Santiago de Cuba and Everything indicates that the motive was robbery.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Aguilera and Peralejo streets, where The victim was on a motorbike with a girl.
The news was announced by the independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada on your wall Facebook, who pointed out that the man was rescued at the Asegen Santiago Command Post, where the Police were notified.
"The first reports indicate that he was possibly attacked by several people to steal his motorbike, something yet to be corroborated, since the area is tightly cordoned off by the National Police and they have requested several people who have taken photographs," he explained.
Mayeta shared photos of the clothes of the attacked subject in which blood is seen.
Several residents in the area contributed information about the event in the publication.
One of them was Lucy Urrutia, who was at the Saturnino Lora provincial hospital when patrol 644 arrived with the victim.
"The citizen, bathed in blood, was still conscious; in addition, he arrived accompanied by a girl. The attention to him was quick, thank God, and until 3:00 a.m., the time when I left the place. He was in the recoveries, apparently the surgery was quick," he explained.
"He is in the provincial hospital operated on and until 7:39 am he was alive," added Felix Claro.
Thalía Soler Miquel stated that the stabbing occurred on the corner of her house, where there is a bakery, and left a "pit" of blood in the place.
"I passed by early in the morning and without realizing it I even stepped on blood," said Internet user Mili Larrea. "According to what they say, they stole his motorbike and apparently it is true that he was riding a motorbike, because the Police had marked the zig zag of the motorbike in chalk on the street," he added.
