The six alleged individuals responsible for the death of Kevin Griñán Reyna, who was found dead in a river in the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo, were arrested in just 24 hours, according to a post made on Monday by the official Facebook page Cazador-Cazado.
According to the source, investigators are looking into the level of involvement of each of the detainees in this tragic incident reported on Sunday.
The six alleged murderers are named Brian Jesús Breff Columbie, Einer Romero Casas, Dianner López Urquia, Roilan López Romero, Jose David Osorio, and Yoriobis Bravo Breff.
According to the official narrative, the conflict that sparked the tragic incident occurred around 3:00 AM on the outskirts of the El Turquino center.
The six young individuals, under the influence of alcohol, resorted to physical violence as a way to resolve their differences.
The publication emphasizes that during the altercation, the victim pulled out a knife, after which he was struck in the head with a bottle.
Upon leaving the location, young Griñán was pursued by six individuals who, by the Sagua River, approximately 500 meters from where the conflict originated, stabbed the victim and threw him over the cliff into the water.
On the morning of April 21, local residents spotted the lifeless body of the young man and notified the authorities.
The official pro-government Facebook profile Cazador-Cazado did not provide any further details about the incident, the investigation, or the six suspects involved in the murder.
The funeral of Griñán shocked the people of Sagua de Tánamo this Monday, reported the communicator Yosmany Mayeta Labrada on Facebook.
"Family members and neighbors from the Bazán neighborhood attended the funeral procession, joining in the grief of this Cuban family," wrote Mayeta, who noted that the six detained young men "are from 'El Jobo,' a neighborhood known for violence and street gangs."
