A Cuban who has lived in Kentucky for four years spoke out on her TikTok profile about one of the topics that is frequently discussed on social networks, moving to another state than the one you are living in for work, giving something to talk about among the community of Cubans on the platform for their opinion on the matter.
On her TikTok profile, user @doritika_ shared a video talking about this controversy, ensuring that she does not regret having moved from Miami to another state in the north of the United States to have more job opportunities.
"When you move there is a lot of money involved. From a moving truck, you are also going to move the cars and you are going to practically start from scratch. When you do it you must put on a scale how much you are going to lose, how much you are going to gain and how much you are going to to invest", this Cuban, who also lived four years in the City of the Sun, began explaining.
"I moved 4 years ago and then I spent around 4 thousand dollars, plus transportation costs for the two cars. We were able to find work super quickly at that time, they were hiring everywhere and the rents were super cheap. I took a rent for 800 dollars. What they say that in the north you will only work for six months is a lie. You have to work every day, every month of the year. Here in snow, rain, in bad weather you have to work, unless it's an ice storm," he added.
"It was one hundred percent worth what I spent on the move. Even the car insurance is cheaper. Although the prices have gone up at all compared to other states"concluded this Cuban, who lives in the state of Kentucky. An area where thousands of Cubans have settled in recent years attracted by the abundance of jobs, a relatively lower cost of living than in Florida and the support of the local community.
In reaction to this Cuban's experience, many users agreed with her, while others do not change life in Miami.
"When you move from Florida, you come to the USA", "Excellent writing of your opinion and experience. Since I arrived in Miami because of the climate, the language and how I feel at home, I prefer to pay the price for these luxuries", "That up there is for newcomers, but those who studied and grew up in Miami, obviously it is your natural habitat and you adapt to the changes and the economic level of life","I left Florida and it was the best. My life changed", "When you leave Miami, opportunities open up for you", "Miami is the best city in the world" or "I also moved from Miami and not that far away and the change was immense and I don't regret it, quite the opposite."
