Cuban humorists Alejandro Gonzalez and Maikel Rodriguez, known as"Los Pichy Boys", launched a survey on their social networks that is generating debate.

The question is simple:"Your vote is for?". The publication is accompanied by two images: one of the mayor of Miami-Dade,Daniella Levine Cava; and another from the influencerAlexander Otaola, who seeks to unseat his rival in the 2024 elections and become mayor.

In the surveyAlex Otaola has received more than 50% of the votes, Daniella Levine accumulates 26% and other candidates have 17%, as of the time of publishing this note.

The reactions have been multiple and diverse. The reggaeton player "El Taiger" responded to the survey and his words generated hundreds of interactions.

"My vote is for her, says the lady. I say the one with the long hair, oh yeah... I tried to explain," said the singer.

His comment was considered homophobic by some followers of the influencer and they have not missed the opportunity to respond harshly to the reggaeton artist.

"Taiger... What's worse, being gay or a drug addict?"said one user. Another person commented: "Taiger, you know that if Otaola comes out, neither you, nor any communist, will be able to be in Miami."

Although the influencer is leading the survey for the moment, in the comments to the publication there are many Cubans who will not give their vote toAlex Otaola, because they do not consider him to be the right person to lead theMiami-Dade alcaldía, one of the most important counties in Florida.

"I'm a Republican and I'm going with Daniella Levine Cava. Gossiping, rude and doesn't even speak English? No thanks," said one person on Instagram about Otaola.

"Los Pichy Boys", they tried to measure in their networks how the fight for mayor in Miami-Dade is going and the possibilities that each of the candidates have. What could have been a touch of laughter ended up uncovering a serious debate within the Cuban community in exile.

Users brought to light various aspects that are silently at stake in this campaign, such as homophobia, ethics, communication in the media and, above all, the importance of respect between Cubans in a democratic society.
