Friends of a young Cuban who died in a traffic accident in Miami gathered$25,000 to help his family organize his funeral.
Cirilo Jesús Ruiz Rodríguez, a native of Ciego de Ávila, lost his life in a motorcycle accident last Tuesday.
Internet user Lilibet Guevara created a fundraising fund on the platformGoFundMe, with thegoal of raising $5,000 to cover expenses funeral homes and deliver the surplus to the victim's family.
In less than 24 hours, $24,450 has been donated.
"Ciri, as we affectionately knew him, left a void impossible to fill. With dreams and goals to fulfill, his departure leaves his parents, Cirilo and Mylen, as well as his sisters Gretel and Liset, immersed in deep pain," it reads. the publication.
