The popular Brazilian actor José de Abreu, remembered by the public in Cuba for his role as Dodó in the telenovela Brazilian “Nuevo Sol” is visiting Havana.

“For my Cuban friends, a memory of the recordings of ‘Segundo Sol’ (a ‘New Sol’) with Emilio Dantas. I am here in Cuba for the celebrations of the First of May. We will meet in the streets of Havana. (Portuñol de classe)”, the artist wrote in his profile Instagram last Tuesday.

Abreu, holding a crab and in the company of the Brazilian actor as well Emilio Dantas, shared the image that was taken during the filming of the aforementioned novel, which was recently broadcast in Cuba.

The artist also wanted to share his visit to Havana with his followers and shared images of different scenes in the city, such as the Havana boardwalk, and visuals to the Morro Castle and the San Carlos Fortress.

My dear Cuba! The dream country of my generation”was the suggestive message that accompanied the photographs.

The Cuban public has a special affection for Abreu, remembered for his participation in several soap operas broadcast on Cuban television.

Among them are Avenida Brasil (Nilo), Lady of Destiny (Josivaldo), Sweet Ambition (Otávio Rocha Guedes), Foolish Heart (Milton Castellani), The Force of Desire (Pereira), The Wall (General Zé Batista) and The House of the 7 women (Onofre Pires).

In 2023, the Brazilian artist also visited the island, and on that occasion he did it with his friend, also an actor Antonio Grassi.

At that time, the trip was linked to the pre-production of the film Two gardenias, which narrates the meeting between Nato, a poor right-wing man played by Grassi, and Guto, a rich left-wing man played by De Abreu.

Both are old friends who meet in Cuba after 50 years to resolve old differences and personal disputes.
