Six people injured after a traffic accident in Jobabo, Las Tunas

Six occupants of a private car that crashed this Tuesday morning on the highway from Jobabo to Colombia (between the settlements of Berrocal and Leningrad), in the province of Las Tunas, suffered injuries from the incident.

According to the official radio station Radio Cabaniguán, the injured were immediately transferred to hospital institutions in both municipalities, several with minor injuries and others with serious injuries.

They also pointed out that two require transfer to the Ernesto Guevara Provincial Hospital.

In the municipality of Colombia, the following are hospitalized:

-Evelina Fonseca Lozada, 55 years old. Resident in Jobabo. No serious diagnosis with facial trauma.

-Deisi Zamora Cutiño, 52 years old. From Sibanicú, in the province of Camagüey. With polytrauma without danger to life.

-Raudel Pérez Escalona, 51 years old. From Matanzas. Diagnosed with a head trauma, not life threatening.

-Yamila Pompa Mendoza, 57 years old. From the province of Granma. Two pelvic fractures. He moved towards Las Tunas.

While in Jobabo, the following are hospitalized:

-Daniuris Figueredo Morejón, 30 years old. Resident in the Los Sitios neighborhood, of the municipality itself. He was diagnosed with 3 displaced pelvic fractures and a thoracic fracture. Various traumas to the skull and arms. She will be sent to Las Tunas once stabilized.

-Alieski Segura Mejías, 40 years old. Resident in Santa Lucía, municipality of Colombia. A pelvic fracture and an intercostal fissure were diagnosed. Although in the first instance the patient would remain in the Jobabo hospital, after a more in-depth assessment of his condition, the doctors decided to transfer him to the provincial hospital.

According to this media, "the alleged cause of the accident was a sudden turn to avoid a pothole that caused the vehicle to move about five meters off the road and due to the unevenness of the ditch caused it to overturn."

This Tuesday, A passenger truck overturned in the section named El Rojo, near the Community of Siboney, in the Holguín municipality of Cacocum, in the province of Holguín.

Due to this unfortunate event, more than twenty people were injured, with several in danger of their lives.
