The Cuban Migdalia Gutierrez, mother of political prisoner of 11J Brusnelvis Cabrera Gutiérrez, stood this Thursday in front of the Directorate of Penitentiary Establishments of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), in Havana, to demand that his son's rights be fulfilled.
“Migdalia Gutiérrez, mother of political prisoner Brusnelvis Cabrera Gutiérrez (sentenced to 10 years in prison), is demonstrating demanding the freedom of her son,” the Cuban activist said on social networks. Marcel Valdes.
With a sign in her hands, which reads a demand for the minimum sentence that has been given to her son, as well as the freedom of the young man, this Cuban said that she would not move until she got an answer.
“I am their mother and I have the right, every right that they are violating,” she said while accusing State Security of these transgressions.
Her screams motivated the presence of a regime official, with the rank of major in the MININT, to threaten this Cuban mother, telling her that with this action she was not going to achieve anything.
“This is not going to solve your problem, we are going to make it more difficult for you"were the words in an intimidating tone from the Castro officer.
Last January, Migdalia stood in front of the prison where the regime is holding her son to demand medical attention for the young man, because his health condition is very deteriorated.
Brusnelvis was arrested for participating in the demonstrations in La Güinera. Initially the prosecution asked him for 15 years in prison for the political crime of sedition. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
