Dramatic police deployment to arrest man barricaded in car that was going to be towed in Miami

The scene has generated widespread debate on social networks.

A spectacular police deployment to arrest a man who barricaded himself inside his vehicle at the moment it was going to be towed, has generated extensive debate on social networks, mainly due to the number of agents who intervened in the process.

The images show at least half a dozen police officers, some of them even with long weapons, pointing at the car.

Suddenly, after hitting the vehicle and forcing the subject to get out, a man was seen appearing in an attitude that did not seem violent nor did it suggest that he was a crazy man armed to the teeth.

It is not clear why the car was going to be towed nor whether the nature of the complaint entailed a danger so serious as to require such a deployment of agents.

"The car isn't worth it bro, just let it go!" reads the popular Instagram group Only in Dade, where the video was shared.

In the comments section, dozens of Internet users engaged in a heated debate: on the one hand, those who believe that this is evidence of excessive use of force and on the other, those who believe that there is not enough data to evaluate the potential danger represented by the entrenched .

There was no shortage of ridicule about the physical condition of the police officers and neither did those who questioned the agent who stood with a rifle in front of the vehicle.

"Are weapons really necessary? This situation does not require extreme measures. These police officers should not be police officers"; "Are you telling me it takes more than ten officers to pull an idiot out of his car?"; "I have seen a single police officer break a window of someone trying to flee and get them out of the car with more art than all of these"; were some comments.

"For those who say that this use of force was unnecessary, consider that perhaps the criminal (yes, he is a criminal, not a victim) may or may not be armed with a gun, and being in that position may prompt him to use it against Police officers so they have to protect their lives. Being too friendly could cost them their lives, you never know what a desperate, cornered person could do."said an Internet user who did not consider the scene excessive.

"Seriously, just tow the car and take the guy inside. What's the big deal?... He's still not going to get his car back, just close the tires. Overkill. If you insist on going with your car, so be it." , stated a woman who was in favor of the tow truck transporting the car without caring if the driver was inside.
